Information we process
Depending on how Fairness is used, we may process account details, firm information, client and matter information, documents, communications, billing records, security events, device information and support interactions.
Why we process information
We process information to provide the service, authenticate users, operate firm workspaces, secure the platform, maintain auditability, support users, meet legal obligations and improve reliability.
Firm-controlled legal data
Legal matter and client data is entered or managed by the relevant law firm or authorised professional. Firms remain responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and professional authority to place that information in Fairness.
AI processing
Where Fairy or another AI-assisted capability is used, relevant prompts and authorised workspace context may be processed to provide the requested function. Access controls and configured provider boundaries continue to apply.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the service, legal obligations, security, dispute resolution and contractual requirements. More detail is provided in the Data Retention & Deletion Policy.
Your rights and requests
Privacy requests can be submitted through the contact details published by Fairness. The rights available to a person depend on the applicable law, the role of the relevant firm and the nature of the information involved.
